คำถามที่พบบ่อย (FAQs)
- Q1: When to water plants?
- A: Overwatering and underwatering are top two reasons for indoor plant death, both indoors and out. Just like people, every plant has different watering preference. Rather than setting a strict water schedule, it's better to learn your plant care guide and pay attention to the optimal moisture level. Then you can adjust your watering cycles and drip irrigation appropriately.
- Q2: Why is it important to know soil moisture level?
- A: Too much moisture in the soil reduces the amount of oxygen and damages the plant's roots, making it more difficult to absorb water and lead to death. Too little water causes the plant to not go through photosynthesis, damaging the cells and tissues of the plant. Checking the moisture level of the soil is a great way to monitor your plant's health.
- Q3: What is recommended soil moisture level?
- A: The majority of flowers, trees and shrubs require moisture levels between 20% – 40%, depending on the specific plant type, while most vegetables require soil moisture between 40% and 80%.
- Q4: Can I use this soil sensor outside?
- A: Yes, it is waterproof and ideal for use both indoor and out.
