The RAINPOINT Wireless Soil Moisture Sensor (Model TCS005) is designed to work as an add-on component to your existing RAINPOINT smart irrigation system. This sensor is an add-on device and requires the following RAINPOINT components for full functionality:

• RAINPOINT WiFi Sprinkler Timer: Compatible models include TTV103WRF or TTV203WRF. These timers are sold separately.

Only one WiFi Moisture Sensor can be used per zone of a WiFi water timer. For stable data transmission, install the sensor within 10 meters (approximately 33 feet) of the WiFi water timer hub.

2. Pairing with WiFi Hub and Sprinkler Timer

Follow the instructions provided with your RAINPOINT WiFi Hub (TWG004WRF) and WiFi Sprinkler Timer (TTV103WRF/TTV203WRF) to ensure they are properly set up and connected to your home WiFi network and the RAINPOINT app.

To pair the soil moisture sensor:

1. Ensure the WiFi Hub is powered on and connected to the internet.
2. Open the RAINPOINT app and navigate to the device pairing section.
3. On the soil moisture sensor, press and hold the pairing button (usually located near the battery compartment) for approximately 5 seconds until an indicator light (e.g., red light) illuminates, signaling it's in pairing mode.
4. Follow the on-screen prompts in the RAINPOINT app to complete the pairing process. The sensor should appear as a discoverable device.
5. Once paired, assign the sensor to the desired zone on your WiFi Sprinkler Timer within the app.

Note: If the indicator light does not come on or pairing fails, try removing and reinserting the batteries, then repeat the pairing steps. Ensure the sensor is within 10 meters of the WiFi Hub during pairing and operation.

For accurate readings, bury the sensor probe deep into the soil, leaving only approximately 3 cm (1.2 inches) of the top casing exposed above the soil surface. Place the sensor in the root zone of the plants you wish to monitor, ensuring it is representative of the watering area.

Once the RAINPOINT Wireless Soil Moisture Sensor is successfully paired and placed, it will continuously monitor soil moisture and temperature. This data is transmitted to your RAINPOINT WiFi Hub and accessible via the RAINPOINT app.

Smart Watering Automation

The primary function of the sensor is to enable smart watering automation. Within the RAINPOINT app, you can configure your paired WiFi Sprinkler Timer to adjust its watering schedule based on the sensor's readings. This allows for:
