This 32-ounce bottle of professional-strength concentrate mixes with water to create 5 gallons of powerful wallpaper remover, capable of stripping up to 1,500 square feet of wallpaper. It is formulated to penetrate and soften wallpaper glue quickly and effectively.

2. Perforating Scoring Tool

The oval scoring tool features a no-slip, soft grip handle and four hardened stainless steel blades. These blades are perfectly angled to perforate wallpaper, creating small holes that allow the remover solution to penetrate the wallpaper and reach the adhesive layer more effectively.

3. Angled Scraper

Mixing the Concentrate

Before beginning, ensure all surfaces and floors are protected with a drop cloth. To prepare the wallpaper remover solution:

• Mix 6 ounces of the ROMAN PRO-466 Wallpaper & Paste Remover Concentrate with 1 gallon of hot tap water (120°F).
• The 32 oz bottle of concentrate yields a total of 5 gallons of remover solution.

Operating Instructions: Wallpaper Removal Process

Follow these steps for effective wallpaper removal:

Step 1: Score the Wallpaper

Using the ROMAN Perforating Scoring Tool, gently perforate the wallpaper. This creates small holes that allow the remover solution to penetrate and break down the paste. Apply light pressure only to avoid damaging the wall surface underneath the wallpaper.

Step 2: Apply Remover Solution

Apply the mixed remover solution to the scored wallpaper. A low-pressure, low-atomization sprayer (such as a garden sprayer) is recommended for application. The remover can also be sponged on. Allow the solution to soak into the wallcovering for a minimum of 15 minutes. Test a small area for removability; re-saturate if needed.

Step 3: Scrape the Wallpaper

Begin scraping from the ceiling down, using the ROMAN Angled Scraper to remove the wallpaper from the wall. Re-apply remover as needed to keep the wallpaper moist. After the wallpaper has been removed, rinse the wall with clean water and allow the wall surface to dry thoroughly before painting or installing new wallpaper.
