The CR-41 consists of a main trigger unit with a shutter button and a lock mechanism, connected by a cable to a 2.5mm jack that plugs into the camera.

Identify the Port: Locate the 2.5mm remote control terminal on your Sigma fp Digital Camera. This port is typically found on the side of the camera body.

Basic Shutter Release

Half-Press for Focus: Gently press the shutter button on the CR-41 halfway down. This will activate the camera's autofocus system and metering, similar to half-pressing the camera's built-in shutter button.
Full-Press for Shutter: Press the shutter button fully down to trigger the camera's shutter and capture an image.

Long Exposure / Bulb Mode Operation

Activate Bulb Mode: Set your Sigma fp camera to Bulb mode (if available) or a suitable long exposure setting.
Press and Lock: Press the shutter button on the CR-41 fully down and then slide the "LOCK" switch (if present) to the locked position. This will keep the shutter open for the duration of your desired exposure.
