4.1 Inserting into a Zippo Case
- Open the lid of your Classic Zippo lighter case.
- Gently pull out the existing lighter insert from the case.

4.2 Filling with Butane Fuel
The butane insert is shipped unfilled. For optimal performance, use Zippo butane fuel.
- Remove the butane insert from the Zippo case.
- Locate the refill valve on the bottom of the insert.
- Hold the butane fuel can upside down and firmly insert the nozzle into the refill valve.
- Press down for approximately 5-10 seconds. You may observe a slight frost forming on the insert, indicating it is filling.
- Wait a few seconds after filling before attempting to ignite to allow the gas to stabilize.
