The MI-4 Pinpointer is equipped with a rechargeable lithium polymer battery. To charge, locate the charging port, typically protected by a cap, and connect the provided charging cable. Ensure the cap is securely fastened after charging to maintain waterproofing.

Attach the coiled lanyard to the designated attachment point on the pinpointer and secure the other end to your belt or equipment to prevent loss. The rotating holster can be attached to your belt, providing easy access and secure storage for the pinpointer during use.

The MI-4 features a single button for all functions. Press and hold the button to power the device on or off. An integrated LED light will illuminate when the device is active.
3.2 Detection Modes and Sensitivity
The pinpointer operates at a detection frequency of 12kHz. It offers 6 factory programs and 3 levels of sensitivity. These settings can be adjusted via the single control button to suit various detecting conditions and target sizes.
3.3 Audio and Vibration Feedback
The MI-4 provides both audio (speaker) and vibration feedback. These can be activated or deactivated independently. The intensity of the feedback increases as the pinpointer approaches a metallic target, aiding in precise location.
3.4 Retune Function
To re-calibrate the pinpointer, briefly press the control button while holding the device away from any metallic sources. This function is useful for adapting to changing ground conditions, such as salt water or mineralized soil, by re-calibrating while in contact with the ground.

The MI-4 Pinpointer is waterproof up to 20 feet (6 meters). Ensure all caps and covers are securely closed before submerging the device in water.

After use, especially in wet or dirty conditions, clean the pinpointer with fresh water and a soft cloth. Store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. All parts are fully replaceable.

5.1 Unwanted Beeping/False Signals
If the pinpointer becomes uncalibrated or produces continuous unwanted signals, perform the retune function by holding the device away from metal and briefly pressing the control button. For ground mineralization issues, re-calibrate while the tip is in contact with the ground.
