The compact outdoor sensor wirelessly transmits temperature data to the main unit. It is designed to be weather-resistant for outdoor placement.

5.2 Sensor Synchronization

After installing batteries in both units, the main unit will automatically attempt to connect with the outdoor sensor. This process may take a few minutes. Once connected, the outdoor temperature will appear on the main unit's display.

Pressing it repeatedly will cycle through maximum indoor, minimum indoor, maximum outdoor, and minimum outdoor temperatures. If you are using multiple outdoor sensors (sold separately), you can switch between channels (CH1, CH2, CH3) by pressing the 'CH' button on the back of the main unit. The display will indicate which channel's outdoor temperature is currently shown.
