The SALTDIP™ tester requires 2 AAA batteries. If not pre-installed, open the battery compartment located at the top of the unit, insert the batteries observing polarity, and securely close the compartment.

For swimming pools, a common ideal salt range is typically between 2700-3400 PPM. Readings outside this range may indicate a need for adjustment:
- < 2700 PPM: Poor disinfection effect.
- 2700-3400 PPM: Ideal Range.
- 3400-4500 PPM: Marginally Acceptable.
- > 4500 PPM: Highly Corrosive.
