Note: Models 4019V656, 4018V094, and 4018V656 are NOT compatible.

Follow these steps to program your new SOMMER remote control to your garage door or gate operator:
- Activate Programming Mode on the Garage Door Operator:
First, you need to switch the radio receiver of the garage door operator to programming mode. To do this, open the housing and press the programming button (often labeled 'Radio button') on the control unit of the garage door operator. Depending on the model, the control unit is located in the motor carriage or within the control unit housing. When in programming mode, a red LED light will illuminate. - Select Radio Channel on the Garage Door Operator:
Press the 'Radio button' repeatedly to cycle through and select the required radio channel on the garage door operator. If no transmission command is received within approximately 30 seconds of pressing the Radio button, the radio receiver will automatically switch back to normal operating mode. - CH1: Pulse mode (OPEN/STOP/CLOSE)

- Program the Button on the Handheld Transmitter:
Press and hold the desired button on your new handheld transmitter until the previously selected LED for the radio channel on the operator blinks and then goes out. This indicates that the handheld transmitter has successfully transferred the radio code to the radio receiver and is now programmed.
You can repeat these steps to program other handheld transmitters to the same radio receiver. Handheld transmitters with Somloq2 can be programmed on either a Somloq Rollingcode receiver or a SOMloq2 receiver. However, mixed operation of the Somloq and SOMloq2 radio systems on one button is not permitted.

Once programmed, operate your garage door or gate by pressing the corresponding button on the remote control:
- Button programmed to CH1: Initiates pulse mode (OPEN/STOP/CLOSE) for the door/gate.
- Button programmed to CH2: Activates partial opening or lighting function.
- Button programmed to CH3: Commands a defined OPEN action.
- Button programmed to CH4: Commands a defined CLOSE action.
