1. Initial Pairing (Recommended)

For optimal performance, it is recommended to power on both the transmitter and receiver in the same room first to establish a strong initial signal. Once connected, they can be moved to their final locations.

• Connect both the transmitter and receiver to their respective power adapters and plug them into a power outlet.
• Wait for the power LED on the receiver and the link light on the transmitter to become solid, indicating successful pairing.

2. Connecting the Receiver to your Display

• Connect one end of the provided HDMI cable to the HDMI OUT port on the receiver.
• Connect the other end of the HDMI cable to an available HDMI input on your TV or projector.
• Ensure your display is set to the correct HDMI input source. An on-screen display will show the receiver's status.

3. Connecting the Transmitter to Source Devices

The Nyrius Aries Home+ transmitter features two HDMI input ports, allowing you to connect up to two source devices simultaneously.

• Connect an HDMI cable from your source device (e.g., cable box, Blu-ray player, gaming console, PC, laptop) to either HDMI 1 or HDMI 2 input on the transmitter.
• If connecting a second source, use the other HDMI input port.

4. Using the HDMI Loop-Through Feature

The transmitter includes an HDMI loop-through (labeled 'HDMI OUT') which allows you to connect a local display directly to the transmitter while simultaneously sending the signal wirelessly to the receiver. This enables one source to be viewed on two displays at the same time.

• Connect an HDMI cable from the 'HDMI OUT' port on the transmitter to a local TV or display.
• This setup provides one wired and one wireless display from the same source.

5. Setting up the IR Remote Extender

The IR remote extender allows you to control your source device (e.g., cable box) from the location of your wireless display.

• Connect the external IR remote extender cable to the 'IR OUT' port on the transmitter.
• Position the IR blaster bulb(s) 2 to 4 inches in front of the infrared sensor of your source device. This sensor is often a small, dark, clear plastic cover on the front of the device.

When connecting a PC or laptop, you can configure your display settings to either duplicate or extend your monitor.

• Connect your PC/laptop to the transmitter via HDMI.
